I love speaking at schools and libraries and particularly enjoy talking about the historic costumes that appear in my book, Midnight at Moonstone.

 

The subject of fashion and clothes provides a great way for children to connect to the past and I always bring examples of replica underpinnings to my events. These include an eighteenth century hoop and a nineteenth century crinoline. The children have a lot of fun trying them on.
